Curtin University is Western Australia's largest and most multicultural university, welcoming more than 52,000 students, around a third of whom come from a country other than Australia. Our main campus is based in Perth, the capital of Western Australia, but we also have campuses in Malaysia, Singapore and Dubai. Curtin is ranked in the top one per cent of universities worldwide in the prestigious Academic Ranking of World Universities 2017.
The Faculty of Humanities at Curtin University is guided by the principle that “real-world problems, if they call for solutions that are technically innovative and cost-effective, also call for solutions that are socially and culturally informed, critical, creative, and sustainable”. Imagining the future of education and using new tools and environments to analyse data and evidence to support strategic organizational improvement are among the key research priorities of the Faculty.
The School of Education at the Faculty of Humanities of Curtin University has offered programs that embrace innovation in learning technologies, theory and practice since 1975, with the aim of preparing highly skilled and informed graduates who can teach and work in a fast-changing world. It is recognised in the QS World University Ranking being among the Top 100 Universities in the world for the subject of Education.
